tt20001 is a TeX font package with CM (EC) in Type1 in T1, TS1 encoding. It contains Type 1 fonts converted from METAFONT fonts and covers entire EC/TC fonts. The glyph CharStrings are not optimized for size, and there are even some minor visual distortions from the original. For an alternative, see the cm-super package.
